Double gauze is two layers of open weave cotton fabric which are woven together to create a slightly squishy and lightweight material. It’s soft, breathable, a little hairy, great for looser style garments and comes in a super range of colours.

The surface is a little crinkled and the small spaces between the layers trap air so it’s lovely for cozy shirts and blouses as well as cool dresses and tops for the summer.

Washing Recommendations: Wash at 30, cool tumble, if ironed - cool iron (see note below). Wash dark colours separately. 

Note: We always recommend prewashing all fabrics with the same program that will be used for the finished garment. This fabric will crinkle up after washing. If you'd like to iron it, please check a small swatch first to determine the look you require.
